A Brief History

Dynamic Computing was founded in the year 2000 at the height of the .com boom. As a fourth generation small business owner and entrepreneur, our founder, Kevin Gemeroy was strongly encouraged by his family to build something of his own from scratch.

Growing up in his dad’s paint stores, Kevin knew technology was something that many small companies struggled with. Fortunately, he understood IT well – he paid his way through college by working as a freelance computer technician. Dynamic Computing was born between classes while Kevin finished business school at the University of Washington.

Over the next decade, the company grew slowly but surely, expanding our client base and improving our offerings. Over the past few years, we’ve taken the company to the next level and built something that truly has a life of its own. The challenge has been not to lose sight of what made us great.  We’ve always started by learning about the client and understanding their business on a deeper level, and followed through by providing the highest level of service and an using an approach that’s uniquely tailored to each client’s needs.

Over the past few years, we’ve focused our energy on growth, change, and improvement, scaling our operations and improving our processes with every step. Most importantly, we’ve embraced the use of technology and automation in everything we do, eliminating redundancies and manual routines.  We’ve managed to triple the size of our team and revenues while consistently ranking among the best in class for industry performance.

So what’s next?  We’re building the premier managed IT services company in the Pacific Northwest, and we won’t stop until we get there. We hope you’ll join us on our journey.

Matt Suo

Service Technician

Matt Suo

Service Technician

Originally hailing from Michigan, Matt and his wife Arria haven’t shied away from living in new cities, including Hilo, Hawaii. Fortunately for us, they’re calling Seattle their new home and we’re thrilled to have Matt, and his years of experience, on the team.
Matt’s off-work activities include reading and kayaking, and would potentially include long walks on the beach if the PNW had sandy beaches.

Brendan’s patience and positivity drives him in life and at DC. He earned his A.S. in Computer Networking and a certificate in Computer Network Support from Bellingham Technical College.

Krissy Keel

Marketing & Solutions Specialist

Krissy joins the DC team with a wide spectrum of skillsets, including a background in hospitality, sales, marketing, design, and customer service. Affectionately nicknamed “The Inquisitor,” she insists on bombarding coworkers with questions to make sure we’re always growing with the customer in mind.

On personal time, Krissy enjoys acquiring new knowledge, writing, and frolicking with her Saint Bernard, Stella. She’s no stranger to the DC mantra of constant growth and improvement – she and her husband Craig are pretty much always working on their (former) fixer-upper in Kent.

Solutions Engineer

A relentless problem solver, Chris integrates new products and technologies into our clients’ businesses, and he coordinates their major moves, expansions, and upgrades. He earned his Computer Security and Network Technology degree from Lake Washington Technical College, and his current role at DC evolved out of his customer service work with an international video game company. There, he earned a reputation as the go-to guy for networking issues that stumped his fellow technicians. We don’t mind expanding his knowledge and throwing him our own tough problems!

Outside the office, you’ll likely find Chris buried in a book, tinkering with a computer, playing video games, or cheering the Seahawks to victory.

Katie Walvatne

Whether it’s in the cycle studio, or in the office, Katie pushes for excellence (and loves helping others do the same!). Katie’s experience in forming partnerships and solving problems lends itself well to Dynamic’s approach of relationship-first growth. After getting her BS in Business Management from WWU, Katie spent time growing coworker spaces, and we’re delighted she’s willing to brave the nerf darts to do the same for us.

When she’s not crushing goals in her day job, Katie instructs classes at City Cycle, enjoys karaoke, and spends as much time as possible outside with her sweet pup, Darla.

We call Jason our “Office Connoisseur,” and for good reason. As such he digs into our more complex tickets and ensures that each client receives a complete solution to their technology issue. Before joining our team, Jason tackled on-site hardware and software support at Boeing.

Although a Texan by birth, Jason is a Pacific Northwesterner at heart. He spends his personal time delving into the Seattle music and festival scenes and brewing his own delicious beer.

PJ Scalisi

PJ Scalisi

PJ graduated from Jefferson State Community college in Birmingham, Alabama and has since exceled in the DC culture. The proof: we promoted him to Lead after less than eight months on the team!

Given their recent cross-country move, PJ, his girlfriend, and their dog relish opportunities to explore the Pacific Northwest through hiking, camping, beer sampling and pampering the office with home made cheese (yes, you read that correctly.)
