A Brief History

Dynamic Computing was founded in the year 2000 at the height of the .com boom. As a fourth generation small business owner and entrepreneur, our founder, Kevin Gemeroy was strongly encouraged by his family to build something of his own from scratch.

Growing up in his dad’s paint stores, Kevin knew technology was something that many small companies struggled with. Fortunately, he understood IT well – he paid his way through college by working as a freelance computer technician. Dynamic Computing was born between classes while Kevin finished business school at the University of Washington.

Over the next decade, the company grew slowly but surely, expanding our client base and improving our offerings. Over the past few years, we’ve taken this company to the next level and built something that truly has a life of its own. The challenge has been not to lose sight of what made us great.  We’ve always started by learning about the client and understanding their business on a deeper level, and followed up by providing the highest level of service and an approach that’s uniquely tailored to each client’s needs.

Over the past few years, we’ve focused our energy on growth, change and improvement, scaling our operations and improving our processes with every step. Most importantly, we’ve embraced the use of technology and automation in everything we do, eliminating redundancies and manual routines.  We’ve managed to triple the size of our team and revenues, growing by an average of 25% each year while consistently ranking among the best in class for industry performance.

So what’s next?  Well, we’re focused on building the premier managed IT services company in the Pacific Northwest, and we won’t stop until we get there. We hope you’ll join us on our journey.

From Geek Squad to community manager of a statistics website, Michael’s extensive IT experience fuels his work at DC. He earned an A.A. degree from the State College of Florida, then achieved an A.S. in IT from Keiser University.

Michael moved from Sarasota, Florida, in his quest to find the best beach in the country. In his off time, he savors craft beer while fishing, playing pool, or finding the best city park. He also relishes travel opportunities, and he’s explored England, France, Spain, and significant chunks of the United States.

Brendan’s patience and positivity drives him in life and at DC. He earned his A.S. in Computer Networking and a certificate in Computer Network Support from Bellingham Technical College.

Max Stein

Max Stein

Service Technician

Max’s passion for technology is self-evident. After graduating from his Hawaiian immersion school a year early, he immediately pursued a self-taught technical career and worked his way up to systems administrator. His motto: “if there’s a problem, there’s a solution.” This mindset drives him to push his own boundaries and exceed expectations as one of our exceptional team members.

When he’s not catching up on the latest tech gadget, Max is gaming, hiking, exploring the Pacific Northwest with his girlfriend and teaching the office Hawaiian phrases.

Rian Tervet

Service Technician

Rian Tervet

Service Technician

Rian’s fascination with technology evolved out of his dad’s own interest in computers. Rian delved into computer building on his own and later studied Computer Networks Technology and Java Programming at Renton Technical College. His experience as a Help Desk Agent at Bellevue College equipped him to join the DC team.

When away from work, Rian snowboards, bowls, camps, rates movies on Netflix, and spoils his dog Stinky (who’s actually not stinky at all). You might also find him out and about with Jeff, one of our Project Engineers. The two have known each other for more than 15 years!

PJ Scalisi

Lead Service Technician

PJ Scalisi

Lead Service Technician

PJ graduated from Jefferson State Community college in Birmingham, Alabama and has since exceled in the DC culture. The proof: we promoted him to  Lead after less than eight months on the team!

Given their recent cross-country move, PJ, his girlfriend, and their dog relish opportunities to explore the Pacific Northwest through hiking, camping, beer sampling and pampering the office with home made cheese (yes, you read that correctly.)

Lydia Kwan

Solutions Coordinator

Lydia Kwan

Solutions Coordinator

Lydia is a strategic master and helped build our Solutions team from the ground up. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina and uses it for every project we throw at her, including quoting, product solutions and finding the perfect office prank.

When Lydia’s not scheming, she collects recipes, hangs out with her husband and their corgi, Enoki, and binges on her favorite TV shows. She lived all over the world, including Taiwan, North Carolina, and Oregon, before settling into the Seattle life.

Chris Starr

Solutions Engineer

Chris Starr

Solutions Engineer

A relentless problem solver, Chris integrates new products and technologies into our clients’ businesses, and he coordinates their major moves, expansions, and upgrades. He earned his Computer Security and Network Technology degree from Lake Washington Technical College, and his current role at DC evolved out of his customer service work with an international video game company. There, he earned a reputation as the go-to guy for networking issues that stumped his fellow technicians. We don’t mind expanding his knowledge and throwing him our own tough problems!

Outside the office, you’ll likely find Chris buried in a book, tinkering with a computer, playing video games, or cheering the Seahawks to victory.
