A Brief History

Dynamic Computing was founded in the year 2000 at the height of the .com boom. As a fourth generation small business owner and entrepreneur, our founder, Kevin Gemeroy was strongly encouraged by his family to build something of his own from scratch.

Growing up in his dad’s paint stores, Kevin knew technology was something that many small companies struggled with. Fortunately, he understood IT well – he paid his way through college by working as a freelance computer technician. Dynamic Computing was born between classes while Kevin finished business school at the University of Washington.

Over the next decade, the company grew slowly but surely, expanding our client base and improving our offerings. Over the past few years, we’ve taken the company to the next level and built something that truly has a life of its own. The challenge has been not to lose sight of what made us great.  We’ve always started by learning about the client and understanding their business on a deeper level, and followed through by providing the highest level of service and an using an approach that’s uniquely tailored to each client’s needs.

Over the past few years, we’ve focused our energy on growth, change, and improvement, scaling our operations and improving our processes with every step. Most importantly, we’ve embraced the use of technology and automation in everything we do, eliminating redundancies and manual routines.  We’ve managed to triple the size of our team and revenues while consistently ranking among the best in class for industry performance.

So what’s next?  We’re building the premier managed IT services company in the Pacific Northwest, and we won’t stop until we get there. We hope you’ll join us on our journey.

Sam Kossof

Operations & Procurement Coordinator

Sam Kossof

Operations & Procurement Coordinator

Equipped with a background in Psychology at UW, working with kids and organizing everything in sight, Sam joins our team as our Operations and Procurement Coordinator. We’re big believers in her Chicago approach to getting things done.

She spends every opportunity tracking down sushi, ramen and chirashi bowls. But when she gets her new ragamuffin kitten in September, she’ll probably be spending more of her time teaching Miso the cat to be the purr-fect adventure partner. She’s also our official source for the latest celebrity gossip.

Ben Pillus

Service Technician

Ben Pillus

Service Technician

Ben brought the sunshine with him when he and his girlfriend Alex moved from California two years ago. (They also brought their two cats, Odin & Bastet, and Ben’s medieval weapons collection.)

With an eclectic background in just about everything, we’re excited this Jack-of-all-trades steered into his love of computers and plunged head first into IT. Ben’s determination, diverse skill set and experience in customer service makes him a perfect fit for our team.

Matt Suo

Service Technician

Matt Suo

Service Technician

Originally hailing from Michigan, Matt and his wife Arria haven’t shied away from living in new cities, including Hilo, Hawaii. Fortunately for us, they’re calling Seattle their new home and we’re thrilled to have Matt, and his years of experience, on the team.
Matt’s off-work activities include reading and kayaking, and would potentially include long walks on the beach if the PNW had sandy beaches.

Brendan McPherson

Lead Service Technician

Brendan McPherson

Lead Service Technician

Brendan’s patience and positivity drives him in life and at DC. He earned his A.S. in Computer Networking and a certificate in Computer Network Support from Bellingham Technical College.

Before technology, Brendan was a professional musician; he produced several albums and toured Canada with his band. Now, he spends his off-time adventuring around the Pacific Northwest, playing Overwatch, or sampling beer and garlic bread

Deavonnie Spadoni

Solutions Coordinator

Deavonnie Spadoni

Solutions Coordinator

Deavonnie weaves her background in marketing and training together to manage and refine our day to day operations.

Although she’s lived in Hawaii, South Dakota, and Alaska, Deavonnie’s a true West Seattle native. She spends her weekends chasing her son Ryder, catching fly balls at Mariners games (she used to be a ball girl), cheering on the Seahawks, and more importantly, searching for the perfect sprinkle covered donut.

Chris Starr

Solutions Engineer

Chris Starr

Solutions Engineer

A relentless problem solver, Chris integrates new products and technologies into our clients’ businesses, and he coordinates their major moves, expansions, and upgrades. He earned his Computer Security and Network Technology degree from Lake Washington Technical College, and his current role at DC evolved out of his customer service work with an international video game company. There, he earned a reputation as the go-to guy for networking issues that stumped his fellow technicians. We don’t mind expanding his knowledge and throwing him our own tough problems!

Outside the office, you’ll likely find Chris buried in a book, tinkering with a computer, playing video games, or cheering the Seahawks to victory.

Josh Youngberg

Systems Administrator

Josh Youngberg

Systems Administrator

A recent transplant from Kansas City, Missouri, Josh is an avid outdoorsman, cyclist, and hiker. Naturally (pun intended), the pacific northwest was the perfect new home for him, his girlfriend, Monika, and their two sweet pups, Riley and Margot.
He complements the DC team with his experience in Mac products, and systems engineering across multiple industries. His proactive reporting helps us make sure our clients’ systems are always running smoothly!

Jason Metcalfe

IT Manager

Jason Metcalfe

IT Manager

We call Jason our “Office Connoisseur,” and for good reason. As such he digs into our more complex tickets and ensures that each client receives a complete solution to their technology issue. Before joining our team, Jason tackled on-site hardware and software support at Boeing.

Although a Texan by birth, Jason is a Pacific Northwesterner at heart. He spends his personal time delving into the Seattle music and festival scenes and brewing his own delicious beer.

PJ Scalisi

Project Engineer

PJ Scalisi

Project Engineer

PJ graduated from Jefferson State Community college in Birmingham, Alabama and has since exceled in the DC culture. The proof: we promoted him to Lead after less than eight months on the team!

Given their recent cross-country move, PJ, his girlfriend, and their dog relish opportunities to explore the Pacific Northwest through hiking, camping, beer sampling and pampering the office with home made cheese (yes, you read that correctly.)

John Davignon

Senior Project Engineer

John Davignon

Senior Project Engineer

John’s role is crucial to providing strategic solutions for our clients. He oversees client onboarding, implementation of new systems, and office expansions and moves. He earned his BA in Communications from the University of Southern Maine and we’re hoping he doesn’t miss east coast winters.

Outside the office, John embraces outdoor living and many of his photos decorate our office and website! He runs, hikes, mountain bikes, and kayaks, and he winds down the weekend by perfecting his new homebrew beer recipe.

Isaac Norberg

Sr. Operations Manager

Isaac Norberg

Sr. Operations Manager

Isaac, our resident nerf dart master, joined our team in 2015 as a technician but was quickly promoted to manager! Before DC, he studied Network Technology at ITT Technical Institute and gained experience as a help desk technician at a local nonprofit. He’s no stranger to troubleshooting all manner of computer, server, network, and printer issues! He’s also completed two deployments as an active duty veteran with the US Army.

When not at work or helping his friends and family with their own tech, Isaac spends his weekends getting target practice at the shooting range, PC gaming, or savoring time with his wife and daughters.

Keri Sherman

Finance Manager

Keri Sherman

Keri comes to us with over 20 years of experience playing the accounting game. A graduate from the University of Washington, she provided financial management and guidance for a growing family business with locations all around the Puget Sound area.

Born and raised in Seattle, Keri and her family of four have recently settled in the Browns Point community. While not at work, Keri would prefer to be anywhere outside, if possible near the water or in the mountains. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, Pilates, and spending time with her teenage daughters.

He created the company in 2000, just before the infamous .com bust, and he’s led it confidently ever since.
